Join the PGE!

The purpose of the Pastel Guild of Europe is, to strengthen connections and friendships between artists across Europe, to inform, enjoy and delight in the beautiful artist's medium of pastels, and to be a support and resource for artists and groups of artists.

You are warmly welcome to join the PGE. There are currently two levels of membership, and a third level,Signature member, is currently under construction. Any person who is 18 years of age, and agrees to the statement (above), is welcome to become an apprentice member. The Member (Journeyer) level is for the artist who aims to be professionally serious about their art and have attained certain skills with the medium, and will be juried by the Board or the jury appointed by the board.

More benefits are to be introduced as we grow and have the technique and manpower to realize them.

The Pastel Guild of Europe uses guild ranks for the different levels of membersips. An Apprentice (Associate member) is a beginner who is learning the medium and/or learning to paint, or a supporter, or a suitable level for those who want to try out membership in the Guild. A Journeyer is a gender neutralized form of Journeyman. A Journeyer (Member) is still under education, on their way to becoming a master of the pastel painting art and craft.

As the PGE is just starting, expect more, and new, benefits to be introduced as we grow.
